Fees & Insurance

With our birth and postpartum doula services, along with lactation support, we offer flexible, family-centered support designed to meet each parent’s unique needs throughout pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period. Expecting parents can choose from thoughtfully curated packages or customize their care to include prenatal and breastfeeding education, continuous birth support, and postpartum assistance—ensuring comprehensive, evidence-based support at every stage of the perinatal journey.

Insurance

Flourishing Mama Co. accepts Maryland Medicaid for eligible birth and postpartum doula services. For all other insurance plans, Flourishing Mama Co. does not bill insurance directly. Payment for services is the responsibility of the client; however, we are happy to provide an itemized invoice (Suberbill) with detailed service descriptions for clients who wish to request reimbursement from their insurance provider.

Our certified doulas are also eligible to support families using specific employer benefits, such as Carrot Fertility and Maven. For lactation sessions, clients will receive a SuperBill to submit to their insurance provider for potential reimbursement unless using Wildflower Care Connect. Packages & Pricing

Every Flourishing Mama Co. client receives relationship-centered, evidence-based support designed to promote confidence, continuity of care, and family well-being. Depending on your selected birth or postpartum package, care may include:

  • A complimentary 30-minute consultation to explore your needs and care options

  • Personalized prenatal or postpartum planning, including in-home or virtual sessions

  • Lactation and feeding education with an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC)

  • Evidence-based guidance on newborn care, including feeding, sleep, soothing, and infant development

  • Ongoing emotional and informational support 

  • Support with family transitions, including siblings, routines, and return-to-work planning

  • Practical, in-home support to promote rest, recovery, and a well-supported household

Birth Doula Support

(Compassionate, Continuous support for pregnancy and birth)

These packages offer personalized birth doula support to help families feel prepared, confident, and supported throughout labor and delivery.

Transform your child’s sleep with gentle, proven strategies that help them fall asleep and back to sleep independently. Includes 15-minute phone consultation, personalized sleep plan, custom nap schedule, two 15-minute phone check-ins and unlimited text support.

Get personalized, hands-on guidance from a sleep coach to help your family transition to better sleep. Whether you’re looking to catch up on rest or want to actively learn alongside your sleep coach, this service provides the flexibility you need. Included is everything from our two week sleep support package + in-home sleep support from 8pm to 5am.

The Blooming Nesting Package $495

Prepare for your baby’s arrival with ease and peace of mind. With this package, you can spend your final days resting and anticipating the moment you’ll meet your little one. Let us take care of the details, so you can transition into motherhood with confidence.

The Blooming Nesting Package is designed to create a perfectly organized, functional, and welcoming space for you and your baby. From setting up your postpartum station to organizing your baby’s nursery, we ensure everything is thoughtfully arranged for convenience and easy access. Duration 5 hours.

Organize the nursery

Create a functional, clutter-free space with designated areas for feeding, diapering, clothing, and playtime essentials.

Pre-wash baby clothes (0–3 months)

Use gentle, baby-safe detergent to wash, dry, fold, and neatly organize clothing by size and season.

Arrange bookshelves and toy storage

Sort books and toys by age-appropriateness and function, making them accessible for daily use while keeping the space tidy.

Set up activity areas

Assemble and position play mats, rockers, and other baby gear for convenience and safe use (we do not assemble large items or hang decor/shelves).

Organize and label drawers

Categorize items like onesies, socks, swaddles, and bibs with clear labels to streamline your routine

Wash and sanitize feeding essentials

Thoroughly clean and sterilize bottles, pump parts, and feeding accessories to ensure hygiene.

Designate a baby bottle cabinet

Arrange bottles, lids, nipples, and accessories for easy access and re-stocking.

Prepare the crib for safe sleep

Dress the crib with breathable sheets and ensure it meets safe sleep standards.

Set up mom’s feeding station

Stock a convenient station with breastfeeding or bottle-feeding essentials, snacks, water, burp cloths, nipple cream, and a phone charger to support mom’s comfort and efficiency.

Jocelyn is a DMV native currently based in Baltimore, Maryland. She is a Certified Birth and Postpartum Doula and a loving mother to her 7-year-old son. Inspired by her own birth experience, Jocelyn developed a passion for supporting families through pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum journey.

At the heart of Jocelyn’s work is a desire to create a nonjudgmental, safe, and empowering space where mothers feel heard, respected, and supported. She believes every family deserves compassionate care that honors their individual needs, preferences, and experiences.

Jocelyn’s philosophy surrounding birth and postpartum care centers on three core values: empowerment, education, and healing. Whether a family is preparing for a medicated birth, an unmedicated birth, or a cesarean birth, Jocelyn provides steady, compassionate support while helping parents feel informed and confident in their decisions.

Danielle is dedicated to educating and empowering parents through the newborn stage and helping them navigate infant and toddler sleep challenges. With 15 years of experience working closely with families, she understands the unique struggles and joys of early parenthood and aims to provide the guidance and support parents need during this critical time. Danielle’s approach is rooted in compassion, offering customized solutions that respect each family’s needs and parenting style.

Through her expertise as a certified pediatric sleep consultant and newborn care specialist, Danielle helps parents establish healthy sleep habits for their babies and toddlers, ensuring that everyone in the family gets the rest they need. Her goal is to equip parents with the tools, knowledge, and confidence to create a peaceful, restful environment in their homes, allowing them to fully enjoy the precious early years with their children

Portia is a passionate advocate for maternal empowerment and birth advocacy. With a deep commitment to supporting mothers and their families, she works tirelessly to provide the tools, knowledge, and emotional support needed to make informed decisions about childbirth. Portia believes that every mother deserves to feel confident, informed, and in control of her birth experience, regardless of the circumstances.

Through personalized guidance, educational resources, and a compassionate approach, she helps families navigate the complexities of pregnancy, labor, and postpartum care. With years of experience and a heart dedicated to nurturing both mothers and families, Portia empowers women to trust in their bodies, make choices that feel right for them, and foster positive birth memories that last a lifetime

Martie’s journey into birth work began at 18 when she became a certified birth and postpartum doula. For more than a decade, she’s had the privilege of supporting families through pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period, helping them feel informed, empowered, and cared for during some of life’s most transformative moments.

Over the years, Martie has trained closely alongside community birth professionals and gained extensive hands-on experience supporting clients in home, birth center, and hospital settings. These experiences have deepened her commitment to evidence-based care, informed consent, and honoring each family’s unique values and goals. Martie believes birth exists on a spectrum of normal and that every person deserves compassionate, nonjudgmental support as they navigate their own path.

Martie is especially passionate about supporting BIPOC and LGBTQ+ families and helping address the disparities that continue to impact maternal and infant health outcomes. Creating inclusive, affirming spaces where clients feel seen, heard, and respected is at the heart of her work.
